Project
The preparation of the future Green Plan for the Autonomous District of Abidjan and the physical completion of the V23 Parkway in Yopougon (the first project of this type in Côte d'Ivoire) are among the “flagship projects” for the territorial enhancement of the economic capital of Côte d'Ivoire. Project objectives: Study of 13 communes in the city of Abidjan: to enhance green spaces and improve the quality of life of the inhabitants of Côte d'Ivoire's economic capital. This project is part of a sustainable development approach, seeking to reconcile urbanization and environmental preservation.
- Creating green spaces: Establishing public gardens, urban parks and leisure areas to provide residents with places to relax and socialize.
- Preserve biodiversity: Maintain and protect local ecosystems by integrating areas of natural vegetation into the urban environment.
- Combating climate change: Mitigating the effects of urban heat islands and improving air quality through increased vegetation cover.
Our mission
The project is divided into two missions whose studies will be carried out concurrently:
- Mission 1 involves drawing up the D.A.A. Green Plan. The scope of Mission 1 of the study covers an area of almost 210,000 hectares, including highly urbanized areas, agricultural land and natural areas.
- Mission 2 concerns the preparation of studies for the V23 Parkway in Yopougon and the development study for the “Cœur de ville” zone, with a view to an urban structuring/restructuring operation.
